About the House League Program
The Hurricanes are proud to offer this program for our youngest age groups. House League is a fun filled basketball program for brand new players, more experienced players or those looking to work towards Rep team opportunities. Athletes from grades 4-8 are welcome and are split into grade level groups - grades 4-6 and grades 7-8. The program entails an introduction to basketball rules, individual skills and team concepts. Players are evaluated over the course of two sessions and then placed on a team to play a regular season. Teams have a practice and game, on a single night each week. Playoffs are held at the end of the season and league champions are awarded medals.
Players that are enrolled in House League can still try out for our Rep Teams. If a player is chosen for a Rep team, they may withdraw from House League to play Rep and a prorated refund for the remainder of the House League program is given.
